CAEP Accredited!!!!
Congratulations to all of you for the part you played in our CAEP accreditation. A special shout out to Alicia and David for their hours of work to get us to this wonderful conclusion! Although we are accredited through 2025, we will continue to pursue excellence and continuous improvement.

School of Education Faculty Meeting
On Tuesday, November 13 the faculty met and were updated on what's new in Canvas by Alicia Noddings. Brian Knapp and Nicole Gagnon from University Advancement talked to us about Career Services and what they are doing to help our students become ready for the workplace. We also went to the computer lab and learned about the improvements to simSchool from David Collum and Stacey Kruse from Pragmatic Solutions, LLC.

Active Learning in ECED 413 & ECED 513
Kathleen Bauer says, "It remains a joy to share courses with our MBU pre-service teachers! For our most recent evening of class, we took opportunity to enjoy the evening on the campus of a local elementary school. We toured the school and class was conducted in my Kindergarten classroom at Rossman.  In addition to our study of the text and writing samples, we had a visit from one of my colleagues who was more than happy to share her expertise integrating language and math. She dressed up as a math wizard and shared an inspiring lesson with us, one of my favorites!!"

Michael Broombaugh's Class
Students in Mr. Broombaugh's class always have fun, but especially on the days when they drop eggs out of my office windows testing who has the best protective egg carton. It's a fun activity that they will be able to use in their future classroom one day.

We have so many things to be thankful for in this country. I am thankful for MBU, our supportive administrators, our amazing students, and dedicated faculty & staff. I hope you take time to enjoy your break and hopefully get to spend some time with family.
