MACCE Meeting Jan Speck attended the Missouri Advisory Council of Certification for Educators (MACCE) meeting on December 3 in Jefferson City. February 24, 1945 - December 13, 2018  Glenda & Shelton Shelton's family Shelton with his daughters, Heather & Erika, on Father's Day You couldn't talk to Shelton for very long without him talking about his family. You would hear about his lovely wife Glenda; his two daughters, Erika and Heather and their husbands; and all of his grandchildren. He was very proud of all of them and was always ready to show you pictures and tell you stories. Shelton earned his Bachelor's in Education in 1967, Master's in Education in 1972, and his Ed.S. in District Administration in 1974 from Southeast Missouri State. Directors' Meeting A Directors' meeting was held on Tuesday, October 30. We reviewed student evaluation comments, the DESE 1st Year Teacher, Principal, Counselor surveys, graduate enrollment data, and graduate exit surveys. We discussed curriculum and instruction, rubrics, admissions, and advising. It was a full agenda and we accomplished a lot. MBU Alumni First Year Experience A panel discussion by four of our first year teachers from various grade levels and content areas was held on Tuesday, October 30 for all of our future teachers. The panel was very informative and helpful to those that attended. This event was hosted by the MBU School of Education Student Organizations, which is comprised of MSTA, ASCD, and Kappa Delta Pi.
