Welcome Back A lot has happened since our last monthly memo in April. Enjoy new and old pictures, updates, events, and awards. New Faces Welcome Kathleen Bauer, Jane Brown, Lekesha Davis, and Arthur Harmon! First School of Education Faculty/Staff Meeting of 19/20 We shared summer adventure pictures and discussed topics such as Zoom and the upcoming schedule. Teacher Education Council Meeting On Wednesday, April 17 our second Teacher Education Council meeting was held. This group of MBU faculty and students and several of our partner education folks met to discuss our field experience students and program, get updated on assessments and the Teacher Education Division, and hear from our partners on what is going well and what needs improvement. Jan Speck Receives Ed Ailor Award On Saturday, April 27 in the Capitol Building in Jefferson City, Jan Speck received the Ed Ailor Award from the Missouri School Counselor Association. Tammy Co

MACTE Spring Conference The MACTE Spring Conference was held March 25-27, 2019 in Columbia, MO. The highlight of the conference is the celebration of the Outstanding Beginning Teachers. Two of our students received this award. Madeline Gustafson and Kaitlin Little. It was an honor to celebrate with them. Alicia , Madeline, Kaitlin, Melanie Alicia Noddings, Bridgett Niedringhaus, Tammy Cox and I attended the MACTE Spring Conference and attended several sessions. Alicia's notes have been posted to the Education Division Canvas shell if you would like to review them. University Collaborative Luncheon The Hazelwood School District hosted a luncheon for area universities to help develop strong relationships. They currently have several teachers who are new to the district that have graduated from our program. Mr. Keith Bausman, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, hosted a brunch to focus discussions on how we can partner together to attract new talent and
