Faculty Evaluations I've completed all of the annual evaluations and have enjoyed getting to spend time with each full timer.  I appreciate all that you do as you serve our students. The most important thing we do for these students occurs in your class! Continue building strong relationships so they will be motivated to receive the information they need to be effective educators, counselors, and leaders! Student Evaluations We have recently learned that students in a few of our courses were not allowed the opportunity to complete student evaluations last fall. Moving forward, students will be completing course evaluations on all courses except field experience and student teaching courses. Millennials in the Workplace During our faculty meeting last week, I asked the group to listen to the YouTube video by Simon Sinek entitled "Millennials in the Workplace." Click  here  to view the video again.  We had an interesting discussion during the meeting about how do we, as instructors, make sure our students are receiving the best instruction.  I found a follow up video of Simon sharing some more thoughts. Happy New Year! The Spring Faculty Conference was held today.  We heard a moving devotional from Amy Brinkley, fascinating statistics about our freshman from Andy Chambers, and updates from Amber Henry, Amber Pyatt, Brenda Bradford, and me regarding new programs and accreditations. Here are some slides from Andy's presentation regarding ways in which faculty can help our students be successful. Please take a few minutes and review this information, especially if you were not here this morning. Tina Ketterer Today was Tina Ketterer's last day. We will miss Tina's contributions to the Counseling Program. She truly cared about students and was an amazing administrative assistant to Mary Ann Conaway. We are in the process of finding a replacement. Tina will be checking her email periodically during this time of transition, but please know that we are directing students to contact their course instructor and/or advisor for immediate assistance.
