Spartan Exclusive
Spartan Exclusive was held Friday, March 2. The purpose of Spartan Exclusive is to allow students to have a glimpse of a day in the life of a Spartan. It is a personal, intimate, academic focused event. Students who attend a Spartan Exclusive have applied to the university, and have MBU in their top 3 college choices. They are intentional and serious about attending MBU. Tammy Cox and Ricki Roth were part of the event.

Education Faculty Meeting
We have been enjoying some wonderful professional development courtesy of the EdPlus folks. On March 20 we will have the third session entitled "Connecting with Students". Effective teacher-student relationships increase levels of achievement as well as student interest in and enjoyment of the class. Understanding student motivation heightens opportunities for engagement and meaningful learning. In this session, we will review the critical role of student engagement and investigate high engagement practices, strategies, and techniques for all learning. I encourage the adjuncts to attend if your schedule allows. You are always welcome.

Upcoming Meetings
March 12-16: Spring Break
March 20: Education Faculty Meeting at 10:15 a.m. in FLD 115

Closing Thoughts
I received the Employee of the Month award at the birthday celebration on Monday. I hesitated to put this in the blog, but I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you for allowing me to lead you in the best way that I can, always looking to Jesus for His guidance in everything that I do. MBU is a great place to work and this honor is greatly appreciated.
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Col. 3:17
