Messy Play Night at East Central College
On Wednesday, April 26 the Early Childhood Program at East Central College held a Messy Play Night. The staff and students at Franklin County RLC had a booth and provided juice boxes to all the children that attended. It looks like everyone had a great time!
Administrative Professionals' Day
Wednesday, April 26 was Administrative Professionals' Day and I celebrated my wonderful staff with a luncheon at the Perk. If you didn't get a chance, please send them a note or share a kind word with them thanking them for what they do for you, our students, and our program.
Also celebrating Administrative Professionals' Day was the Troy/Wentzville RLC. Dr. Sheri Brandt treated her office staff to lunch at Applebees.
St. Louis Clinical Partnership Spring Meeting
Susan, Angela, and I attended a meeting at Maryville University where local school district HR administrators joined educator preparation program folks to discuss our clinical partnerships. The discussion lead to a conversation about a critical need that school districts have for substitute teachers. Please encourage your students to substitute. You will hear more about this in the future. Be brainstorming ways in which we might be able to include this in our program. Our local districts have expressed a need and we should consider this issue because it can seriously benefit their students and ours.
Retirement Celebration
On Thursday afternoon MBU celebrated the retirement of two people: Lynne Koestner and Jonathan White. Lynne worked for 13 years in the library and Jonathan worked for 11 years as Campus Minister and instructor. We wish them well.
CEEDAR Statewide Leadership Team Meeting
