Faculty Meeting On Tuesday, March 21 we had a Professional Development Faculty meeting.  Clint Limoges and Jan Speck from the Counselor Education Department led a sand tray activity.  Sand tray activities are used with adults and children in therapy.  Our task was to make our work world in our tray with the various figurines, objects, and fun toys that we could choose from a table overflowing with objects. It was interesting to hear about everyone's "work world" through the objects they chose.  I look forward to faculty utilizing what they have learned in their classrooms when appropriate! Thanks, Clint and Jan, for sharing your knowledge and experiences that you had at a recent conference with the rest of us. Missouri Prep Educator's Annual Performance Report Wednesday's St. Louis Post Dispatch  included an article about the public release of the APR data. Our program had the third highest number of candidates in the state represented in the APR (some of our programs are not represented in the APR due to low enrollment,) and we had 75% of our 16 reported programs in Tier 1 out of four tiers. . The other 25% of our programs were in Tier 2. I am so thankful to all of you for your efforts over the last few years to make sure we were one of the first institutions to update our curriculum to meet the new certification requirements. We will continue to do all we can to ensure our students are successful on state assessments and rate our programs highly on the first year teacher surveys. Come by my office or check out the bulletin board to read the full article. SMSTA Day at the Capitol Ricki Roth took some students to Jefferson City on Wednesday. What a wonderful opportu...
